Our Vision
Every child in the United States can attend a high quality school within their community, where the community’s voice and agency ensures that students’ needs drive school design, curriculum, policies, and instruction so that each child can achieve their aspirations while the community builds cultural, economic, and social wealth through their advocacy and actions.
Why We Do it
We regard public education as the greatest equalizer, lever, and driver to elevating communities & enriching lives. And we believe that communities have untapped power that needs to be restored. LEDbetter creates and sustains schools and movements by meeting schools and communities where they are and accelerating their capacity to serve students.
How we do it
We create data-driven, inclusive, responsive, and knowledge-creating leaders [in all areas of public education] who unleash the individual and collective power within each community and focus it towards systemic change.
